My top favorite tour operators

Working in the tour industry world, I have had the opportunity of meeting some of the best operators all over the world. Some of them I met in real life, others online. Tour companies/ tour operators owner are passionate people who are generous and love to help each other again in real life… or online! While I think Quebec City has some pretty kick-ass tour companies, like Sunny Tour Guide or A Free Tour of Quebec City, when I travel, I love taking tours and finding out what others have to offer.  While I haven’t been to all these places or have done all the tours (YET!!) from the list below, I have grown to cultivate relationships and, let’s be honest, creating relationships and enjoying life is what the world is all about.

Looking for a private tour of Quebec City?

I got you covered!

Here’s a few tours and operators I think are pretty special.  If you get a chance to take one of their tours, please tell them Marie-Pierre from Nomad Tours Quebec sent you and let me know about your experience. Bon voyage!

My favorite tour operators worldwide

Spade and Palacio, Montreal, Canada

Spade & Palacio is a collaboration of two born and raised, young Montrealers, Anne-Marie and Danny, who are passionate about their city and love to show it. They take their guests away from the mains tourist sights and prefer to showcase unknown parts while promoting local businesses. These two entrepreneurs offer food tours and bikes tours. On your next trip to Quebec City, why not plan a getaway to Montreal and say hi to my friends at Spade & Palacio? You’ll thank me later 🙂

San Francisco by Gilles, San Francisco, United States

I never had the chance to visit California yet. However, I had the opportunity to guide the owner of San Francisco by Gilles in Quebec City! Gilles and I are still in touch and I will most definitely try his off-the-beaten track walking tours on a future voyage. Gilles offers his tours in English, but also in French (his first language), which is going to be fun!

Eating with Ziggy Tours, New York City, United States

After many years of writing about eating in the food capital of the world, Ziggy decided to design his own food tour company, called Eating with Ziggy, in New York City.  He offers the type of food experience he looks for when he travel.  That intimate nature enables Ziggy and his guests to experience NY in a very unique way. I had the chance to take one of his tours last time I was in the Big Apple and let me tell you, his tours have the best value ever. I tasted so many different food from different cultures and entered places I would never have entered by myself. Thanks again Ziggy, you were the highlight of my trip to NYC!

Litiberi Travel, Rome, Italy

Litiberi Travel specializes in providing the best travel services in Rome and Italy. They created their business in 2005 and since then, they are creating customized itineraries for their clients based around their personal plans and preferences. They help travelers building experiences and memories. One of it’s owner, Mitra, has the most stunning pictures of Rome on Instagram and I must say… I’m a bit jealous of all her wonderful outfits!

Paris Polaroid Tours, Paris, France

Paris Polaroid Tours believe there is no better way to discover a place than by wandering through it. As a tour guide who is passionate about photography, I can’t wait to do their polaroid tours. Imagine: wandering around Paris with an old-school camera must be so much fun! Paris, here I come!

Those who know me know I have a weakness for analog cameras 🙂
